QUIZ 2

HELLO LADS!!!
Resultado de imagen de omg gif

This post is about theory....yes, we need to talk about this stuff...it's also a very important part of our learning process.
The second quiz is about relative clauses, the passive (the difficult part) and verbs with the infinitive and of course -ing.

So let's start with the difficult part...THE PASIVE!!
It's too hard to explain it, we better show you a video....LOL.

And what about the relative clauses?
On one hand, We learned the defining relative clauses and the non-defining, the first one gives detailed information defining a general term and you don't put them in commas and the other one is for giving more information about something.

On the other hand, we have relative pronouns, such as...

And last but not least...verbs with the infinitive and -ing.
Have a look at the next video, we know you will learn a lot with it...it's not that difficult to understand... ;)

That was all for today.. we hope you have learned some English rules today.
SEE YOU SOON!!

Game of Senses: Smell, Sight, Hearing, Taste and Touch

WE PLAY THE "GAME OF SENSES"

Last week we discovered a new way to learn vocabulary in a playful way.

Instead of Game of Thrones, we played the Game of Senses.

The teacher gave us an envelope with all the senses, except the taste, and words related to each sense and we had to classify them with each sense.
We did it very well!! 馃挭

Once we knew the vocabulary...

we started playing!

The first game was related to sight
It was a Kahoot! The representative of each team had to answer questions about that sense.

The next one was the game related to the hearing sense. We used a mask for the next representative of our team, and the teacher made different noises and sounds and she had to identify the sound and relate it to the vocabulary learned.

The third sense was related to the touch sense. Our representative with covered eyes had to describe the different objects that we were giving using the vocabulary learned.

We liked the sense of smell because all of us could participate in smelling the different substances that the professor gave us. The smells we liked the most were cherry and melon, and the worst was garlic because it's stinky!

And last, but not least, the sense of taste. This was our favorite sense because all of us tasted different meals like chips, chocolate, nuts with hot sauce, sweets... That was yummy!! 馃槏馃構

We enjoyed this activities because we  learn while we play!!

That's all for today!! See you soon! 馃憢馃槈

QUIZZES

Hello!!
In this post, we are going to talk about a thing that we all didn't enjoy much... yeah!! The theory... Clearly, we all prefer to practice instead of listening to the theory, but it is very important when we start learning something new.

We are going to talk about our 2 quizzes, and what did we learned with each one, and obviously the theory we studied!

The first quiz included the first 3 units and was the lightest quizz (in comparison with the other one). In unit 1, we studied Past and Present Tenses. In fact, it was a review of what we had studied the other years. Basically, we evaluated the using of "Present Simple", " Present continuous", "Past Simple", "Past Continuous", "Present Perfect" and "Past Perfect". It wasn't as hard as we thought because we remembered the information from high school.

Unit 2 was a little bit more difficult than the first one. We saw the future and conditional tenses, how to use them and when. For those who have little problems with conditionals, and don't understand them still, here we have a good video talking and explaining them.

Finally, Unit 3 talked about Modal Verbs. We studied when we have to use them, and how, and this is a small and easy review.

CAN/ CAN'T/ CANNOT
- Be able to
- Possibility
- Permission*

COULD/ COULDN'T
- Be able to in past
- Probability

MAY
- Permission
- Guessing

MIGHT
- Probability

WILL
-Offer

SHALL/SHAN'T
- Suggestions

SHOULD/SHOULDN'T
- Advice
- Guessing

MUST/MUSTN'T
- Laws/ Rules
- Mustn't for prohibition

HAVE TO/ DON'T HAVE TO
- Things to do
- Don't have to - for opcional things

And last but not least, some vocabulary about the senses...they were easy to remember because we learned them in a playful way.
